A Real-life Situation

During a crowded table tennis training session recently, I was approached by a fellow player……a middle-aged woman. She excitedly asked me, in her best English, if she and her partner could share a table with my partner and me. Of course I consented. Apparently she is studying English right now and she was so happy to be able to communicate effectively when using it in a real-life situation.
